The Mayor and Board of Aldermen are elected for a two-year term by the citizens of Lawson. They meet every third Monday at 6:00 PM in City Hall. The Mayor and Board of Aldermen approve city ordinances and policies, set the annual budget, approve contracts and large purchases, hire the City Administrator and appoint citizens to server on the City's other boards and commissions.
